Calfour, St. Aubin de Cadelech. Nr Bergerac

Calfour is set on the hills overlooking the Dropt valley. In the main house live the owners John Floyd and Michael Donaldson and across the courtyard is the Guest Cottage. This has been created from a huge barn. Part of it has been restored to to create the Guest Cottage, the rest forms a walled garden with one end open to extensive views, even the Chateau of Biron (35 km) in the far distance.
The Cottage has an L shaped living room ; the sitting area has a comfortable sofa and two easy chairs together with a Satellite/TV/Video and CD player. The dining area has a round dining table and chairs. The Kitchen is very well equipped, has attractive china and fine glass ware. There is a full sized gas cooker with grill; microwave oven; large fridge and 3 drawer freezer; dishwasher; filter coffee machine; toaster; electric kettle; ceiling fan and all the other items you will need. There is a handsome Godin wood burning stove and electric heating throughout.
To the right of the living room is the larger bedroom with fitted carpet, king sized bed and fitted wardrobe. The en-suite bathroom has full sized bath with rounded shower end (thermostatically regulated shower), hand basin, bidet and WC. On the opposite side of the living room is the second bedroom. This is the smaller but has a double bed and it's own shower room with hand basin and WC.
Through the French windows is the large covered terrace, it is in effect an outdoor living room. Fully furnished with table, cushioned dining chairs and relaxing chairs. This haven overlooks the walled garden with its lawn, massed pots of flowers and blooming shrubs. There are cushioned sun beds to place where you wish. This area is not overlooked, is sheltered and very private.
There are steps down to the pool and main landscaped garden. The pool is 11m long and from the paved terrace are Roman steps to enter the pool. The pool has a salt treatment unit and is available at all times.
