Snowboarding requires excellent balance, leg strength and stamina. This adrenaline filled sport is difficult to master and not for the faint-hearted. As a beginner it is important to chose the right slope, places like Courchevel and Tignes are good places to begin searching. Whilst the more dangerous slopes of Vallee Blanche could prove a challange for the most experienced snowboarder.

Tobogganing is a great activity for the whole family (usually 8 years plus). With Europe's highest toboggan run located in Val Thorens, France, and other venues throughout France, this can be a fun activity to incorporate into any holiday.
