Beautiful 17th century Breton Manoir, recently renovated, 5 acres of private gardens, large heated swimming pool. Edge of village location. Close to Lac de Guerledan with beach, 5 minutes to nearest town with all amenities, 40 mins to Emerald Coast.

The accommodation is suitable for families with young children through to teenagers or groups of friends looking for something a little bit special. The Manoir is furnished with comfort and elegance in mind, a mixture of local antique and modern furniture, making it a stylish and supremely comfortable home in which to unwind. It has been decorated throughout with a traditional French feel, and whilst it offers every modern convenience with everything you would expect to find in your own home including Wi-Fi internet access and UK Satellite TV (freeview), it boasts many original features such as exposed beams, stripped floorboards, terracotta tiled floors and an original open fire place with wood burning stove.

The Manoir has 5 bedrooms and is arranged as 3 doubles, 1 twin bedded and large family room with kingsize bed and 2 single beds. One of double rooms can be changed to a twin if required. Travel cot(s) and baby equipment can be provided on request.

There are 3 bathrooms. 1 on the ground floor with double shower, wc and basin, 1 on the first floor with slipper bath, shower wc and basin and 1 en-suite on the second floor with double shower, wc and basin.

Fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, American fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, combination coffee maker, washing machine (housed in ground floor bathroom).

Cosy and spacious lounge with a range of large leather sofas/armchair, wood burning stove small library, TV with DVD.

Dining room leading off from the kitchen encompassing a large dining table with seating for up to 12 people double patio doors leading to southfacing courtyard and gardens beyond.

All linen and bath towels (including cot/crib linen) provided. If you are staying for 2 weeks, we will service the property if so requested after the first week. Pool towels are not included.

On site complementary therapies, iPod docking station/speakers, hairdryer, BBQ and patio furniture, children’s play area, snooker and table tennis, books, DVDs, games, bicycles, welcome pack on arrival.

There are 5 acres of extensive private grounds surrounding the property with a large area of lawn ideal for families to picnic in or play sports. A variety of sporting equipment is available for the more active including several bicycles which you are welcome to borrow to explore the local area. There is a children’s play area with trampoline, swings, slides, climbing frame, living willow wigwam, football nets, sand pit and toddler’s rockers. One of the courtyard barns also has table tennis and a snooker table.

The heated pool is open from May to September. It measures 10m x 5m, has Roman steps for easy access in and out and has a depth of 1.5 m. It is securely fenced to comply with the French safety laws and surrounded with a patio area complete with sun loungers and cushions. The south facing courtyard in front of the Manoir has a barbeque with tables, chairs and parasols for alfresco dining. Lots of private parking space within grounds.

The Manoir is situated in a beautiful part of Central Brittany surrounded by delightful countryside but yet only 5 minutes away from Mur-de-Bretagne which has all the necessary amenities including banks, supermarkets, restaurants and shops and about 15-20 mins drive from the medieval tourist towns of Pontivy and Loudeac. Excellent region for beaches/water sports, historical sites, relaxing, cycling and more.

The Manoir is ideally located to access the wonderful coastlines to the north and south of Brittany with some of the best beaches such as Pléneuf-Val-André and Erquy under an hour away. Perros- Guirec, Tregastel and Ploumanach on the pink granite coast are between 1 - 1 1/2 hours away. The largest lake in Brittany, Lac de Guerlédan is close by and offers all types of water sports including sailing, water skiing, pedalos, swimming, fishing, boat trips etc. as well as sandy beaches and restaurants.

There are plenty of golf courses for the keen golfer. Golf de Rimaison at Pontivy about a 20 mins drive is a 9 hole 70 par . It has a good club house with refreshments available. There are mini courses at St Herve and Gouarec. More courses within an hours drive are Golf de Tréméreuc, Pleumeur Bodou, Golf de Pléneuf Val André, Saint Briac Sur Mer and Morieux.

Changeover day is Saturday, although this is flexible in low season. Arrival after 4pm, departure by 10am.

Weekly bookings run from Saturday to Saturday during Peak and High season. We will however consider midweek bookings for Mid and Low seasons. Contact us for prices for shorter breaks during Mid and Low seasons.

A Deposit of 25% of the rental value is payable at the time of making a firm booking.

The balance is payable eight weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. If a booking is made within 8 weeks of the rental period then full payment is required.

A refundable Security Deposit of £200 is payable with the final payment. This will be returned to your bank account at the end of your stay less any damage.

We would strongly recommend that guests take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy covering cancellation, personal belongings, health and public liability as these are not covered by the owners insurance.

A full booking contract detailing all costs and responsibilities will be provided once a provisional booking has been made by e-mail or telephone.

We accept online credit card payments through PayPal as well as payments by internet bank-bank transfer to our UK account or by personal cheque in GBP.
