This ancient watermill has been artistically converted into three comfortable self contained homes. Standing in 4 acres of meadows clothed in wild orchids and colourful butterflies bordered by a tranquil stream fondly known as the babbling brook.

Sleeps five people. Le Moulinet occupies the lower floor of the mill. Offering a sitting room complete with wood-burning stove. Overlooking the tumbling stream and peaceful countryside beyond. A walled private sheltered terrace provides a charming entrance to the cottage with one double/one bunk bed and one single bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and bathroom consists of shower/wc and washbasin.

We seek to provide and maintain a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere to all our guests. We are peacefully situated within a picturesque valley in the lower Fenouilledes foothills of the Pyrenees standing midway between two small villages, Le Vivier and Fosse . This tranquil location makes it an ideal base for exploring the region or simply putting your feet up and relaxing. The closest airports are Perpignan (fifty minutes), Carcassonne (one and a half hours), Gerona in Spain and Toulouse (two hours) (low cost flights available with Ryan Air/Easyjet and Flybe airlines).

There are several bars and restaurants within ten minutes drive in Caudies providing anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal. We are also able to recommend our local Auberge in St Martin offering traditional high quality food only five minutes drive.

Swimming, golf, canoeing, horse riding, tennis, white water rafting, canyoning, trekking, mountain biking and many more are all available within fifteen minutes drive or less.

Within an hour you can visit the secluded rock pools at Pezilla, Roman Aqueduct at Ansignan, Gorges and plunge pools of Galamus at St Paul, Mijanes skiing resort for Beginners-Experienced skiers (not expensive) in season, Mediterranean Beaches for a day lazing in the sun to name just a few. Also within an hours drive is the larger town of Perpignan (the gateway to Spain) with museums, restaurants, extensive shopping areas and enormous hypermarkets.

Lettings are usually Saturday to Saturday, however we are happy to accept midweek bookings wherever possible/Mid and Low Seasons only. Short breaks and Bed and Breakfast are also possible subject to availability. Reductions are available in the low seasons for longer lets and bookings for two or more properties.

We ask for a twenty-five percent deposit on booking, the balance being due eight weeks prior to commencement date of your holiday (Please also see the booking conditions).

A damage deposit of one hundred pounds is payable at the time your final balance is due. This will be returned to you two weeks after your departure assuming no damage is found.

Directions from Perpignan airport :-
Leave the airport and take the D117 towards Estagel. You will pass through Cases de Pene, Estagel, Maury and St Paul de Fenouillet (which is where you will find the local Champion supermarket on your right as you are leaving the village). Approaching the centre of Caudies village turn left on the D9 towards Fenouillet, Sournia and Fosse approx ten mintues away.
You will pass over a railway crossing on the edge of the village, past the Notre Dame church, the picnic site and over the green bridge on route. The road now climbs and twists, keep going straight past the Fenouillet turning on your right. Continue until you reach the fork in the road to Fosse, take the right fork and stay on the main road for three/quarter mile past the right turning to Vira and immediately after the small bridge you will see the Moulin de Perle sign. There are two driveways.

All gites share a communal laundry room with automatic washing machine.
Sky TV available in all gites offering all free to view channels.
Terrace areas come equipped with garden furniture and barbeques.
Kitchens have microwaves, fridge/freezers, hob and ovens.
Fosse offers Free access to our local swimming pool and tennis courts only five minutes walk and Le Vivier offers a plan d'eau and mini golf course, ten minutes walk in the opposite direction.
