River Cottage is located on the banks of the River Vige and surrounded by 10 acres of private woodland. The cottage can sleep 6/8 people.

There is an 80ft Douglas Pine to the right hand side which is very impressive and old!
The natural spring with its own wash stone tub is still working and flows down to the river
10 acres of private woodland via a small path from the garden

Local lakes nearby that have canoeing fishing swimming hiking horse riding etc.
9 hole golf course in Bourganeuf around 15 euros.

Saint Martin Ste. Catherine is close to Bourganeuf - the first town in Europe to get electricity (photo below right). Aubusson is about a 30 min drive and famous for its tapestries. Gueret is also around a 30 min drive and is excellent for shopping. A beach lake is close by with the usual summer activities.

The Wolf pack enclosure is very good - so I have been told. Watching wild wolves in action must be worth a visit. There is also a Buffalo Farm and a flying school a little further out.

We drive from Calais approx 7 hours with two stops.
Train from Paris to Limoges is very quick or fly in Limoges airport from East Midlands, Bristol, Stansted, Southampton to name three.
