Here at Chateau de Camiole, the facilities include a luxury health and spa centre, two large outdoor swimming pools, and a conference centre which also doubles as a cinema should the weather be inclement. The conference centre is far enough away from the villas and apartments for discos and other ‘teenage’ activities to be held without disturbing the rest of the resort. There is also a Kids’ Club, a ball games area, the swimming pools and boules pitches for the children to enjoy.
The crowning glory of Château de Camiole is without a doubt its fabulous swimming complex. Located in the centre of the village and overlooking the valley below are two large outdoor swimming pools which are linked by a stunning cascade waterfall which drops over 20m from the top pool into the bottom one. The top pool is 280m2 and includes a large children’s pool and a small paddling area. The bottom pool is 250m2 and includes a circular spa pool.
For those with young children, there is a separate building and grounds which houses the Kids’ Club where various activities and video games are provided in five European languages. There is also a 2500m2 outdoor area for ball games which can be used by all kids, big and small.
In the village square, in traditional Provencal fashion, there are pitches for boules, and for the more energetic, walks around the village or further afield into neighbouring Callian or up into the hills.
2 tennis courts and a 6000m2 multisport area with football pitch, volley ball and fitness trail will be available in 2011.
In addition, electric BBQs can be hired at reception, as well as cots, high chairs and baby baths.
Onsite shared laundry facilities are coin operated, and programmes include washing powder for convenience.
For long stay holiday rentals, room cleaning and change of towels can be arranged at a supplement.
