La Maison du Pêcheur in Honfleur
La maison du pêcheur is an 18th century style townhouse situated in the heart of Honfleur, just a stone's throw away from the old fishing harbour where restaurants, boutiques and a colourful market form the centre of Honfleurais life. La maison du pêcheur, a traditional fisherman's cottage, is just perfect for a twosome on a romantic break but can sleep up to 4 people. The cottage is situated in a quaint, cobbled street in the heart of Honfleur, a quiet tranquil spot admist the hustle and bustle of this beautiful fishing village.
Once inside, you will step into a charming cottage-style
kitchen with its traditional wood-burning fire. This area is fully equipped and leads out onto a delightful outside patio, ideal for al fresco dining. The spiral staircase leads to a comfortable living area where you can just relax and unwind or even enjoy a film or novel from our anglo-french library. The sofa in this room also converts into an extra bed if required. Nestling under the eves, a French-stlye mezzanine creates a warm and inviting place to sleep. This bedroom is reached by a steep, wooden ladder and is therefore not suitable for the very young or elderly.
The surrounding area is full of beautiful places, including 'Swiss Normandy'(Pont-Audemer) and the Cidre trail which takes you through breath-taking countryside and also provides with you an opportunity to taste a whole range of award-winning cidres.
